SDCA Hosts Cosflair: Flairbartending Competition 2019

St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) was chosen to host Cosflair: Flairbartending Competition 2019 last March 21, at the 8th Floor, Don Gregorio Hall / Gymnasium.

In partnership with Tanduay, SDCA hosted Cosflair: Flairbartending Competition 2019, a contest that combines flair bartending with cosplay. The event was organized by the officers of the Alliance of Future Dominican Hoteliers, the academic organization of the Hospitality Management students of SDCA, together with the Bar Management class of Hospitality Management 3-A. Several students from different schools such as Asia Technological School of Science and Arts (ASIATECH), Arellano University – Pasig, Colegio De Sta. Teresa De Avila, Dr. Yanga’s Colleges Inc., Far Eastern University – Manila, La Concepcion College, Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sta. Mesa, San Pedro Technological Institute and Our Lady of Lourdes College participated in the competition.

Roy Angelo M. Manila of ASIATECH was declared as the Champion, followed by Dannah Jean Placio Olivar from Colegio de Sta. Teresa de Avila, who was the 1st Runner-Up, and SDCA’s very own Dean Michael B. Bañes was the 2nd Runner-Up.

According to Ms. Irene M. Moreno, the President of the Alliance of Future Dominican Hoteliers, the objective of Cosflair is to exhibit and develop the talent and knowledge of the students in flair bartending and mixology by exposing their skills.
