SDCA organized a literacy project entitled “Green IT” and “Social Media Awareness” which aim to teach parents from Talaba II, last March 18.
The members of Association of Computer Talents and Specialists (ACTS), the academic organization for the Information Technology students of St. Dominic College of Asia, facilitated the“Green IT,” that tackled the proper ways to recycle different computer parts and peripherals into something that can be domestically used. The event was attended by the parents of the Bacoor Alliance of Pinagbuklod – Kindergarten School students.
During the second part of the seminar, Mr. Joezer Haggai P. Macauyam, the Digital Learning Content Management Specialist of St. Dominic College of Asia, together with the Online Distance Learning Staff/ Web Management and Digital Citizenship Specialist of SDCA, Mr. Rueben G. Marollano, discussed about one’s responsible social media presence.
Towards the end of the program, Prof. Ronald Tomines, the Community Extension Services Officer of St. Dominic College of Asia, gave the closing remarks to formally conclude the activity.
