SDCA’s IT literacy for fellow teachers

Information and Technology (IT) literacy in the world of the new K-12 curriculum is indeed highly essential. Adding the fact that we already live in the cyber age, you don't want to be left out, especially if you are a teacher.

A teacher who faces sprouting gadgets everywhere really needs to become IT-literate to give the best learning methods to their growing students. How can someone be IT-literate anyway?

The MIS and IT department came up with an outreach program dubbed “IT Literacy.” How does it work? Chosen BSIT from instructors will share their expertise to the privileged teachers of SDCA's adoptive communitiesBrgy. Talipusngo and Brgy. LayongMabilog. Under this program, the elementary teachers will undergo a seminar and receive certificates testifying that they are IT literate.

That's not all! Schools from both barangays also received computer units with Windows 8 operating systems. The computers are equipped with Microsoft Office Suite containing all MS Office apps—perfect for creating learning materials.

Having gained knowledge and tech, teachers don't have to stress about making studying more enjoyable for their students anymore with the help of SDCA and modern technology.
