Dominican Psychology student interns led the innovative TeleMental Health project. As the COVID-19 pandemic affected people worldwide, the critical need for accessible mental health resources arises. TeleMental Health focuses on providing mental health advice through phones and other virtual platforms. This project emerged as a vital alternative, helping individuals manage depression and anxiety. This highlights the program's effectiveness in using new and modern modality that is suitable to deliver essential mental health services.

Another entry that SDCA was able to be part of is the ArtReach Program, an initiative that beautifully intertwines education, community service, and cultural preservation. Launched by the Multimedia Arts department, the program aims to preserve the heritage of the Dumagat Tribe, one of the Philippines' largest and oldest Indigenous groups residing in the Sierra Madre mountains. ArtReach involves SDCA’s Multimedia Arts students in various community engagement activities and skill training for the Dumagat community. This highlights the impact of combining education with cultural preservation, demonstrating how innovative approaches can enrich and sustain invaluable heritage.

SDCA’s program “Sustainable Training and Education Program” (STEP) for Lifelong Learners was also recognized for its sustainability action. This initiative focuses on providing comprehensive training and education to enhance learners' abilities for successful personal and professional development. This program encourages the use of innovative learning approaches that prepare students for a better quality of learning and adaptability in an ever-evolving world.

SDCA’s recognition at the Green Gown Awards is not just a local achievement, but a global recognition of its efforts. By integrating innovative learning skills into its educational framework, SDCA is not only enhancing students' career prospects but also contributing to a broader, more adaptable environment. This recognition underscores SDCA's commitment to advancing education, sustainability, and community impact on a global scale.

The International Green Gown Awards, in collaboration with Allianz Global Investors and supported by the UN Environment Programme, recognizes outstanding sustainability initiatives by universities and colleges worldwide that excel in integrating sustainable practices.
