Education captures the Championship

Global Educators Guild (GEG) outshined other courses including the 4 time defending champions Junior Philippine Institute of Accountancy (JPIA) as they were hailed as this year’s Champion of Kulayawan 2016 at SM Molino, March 5.

Students from GEG surprised the audiences and left a standing ovation from the judges in this year’s theme “Panagbenga Festival” of Baguio City. Colorful costumes, flower formation with real-flying butterflies highlighted their winning performance, Dance group from LaboratoriunDuces declared as the 2nd place and Best in Costume while JPIA, ranked 3rd place. Young Executives Society (YES) got a nerve as they declared 4th placer of the event. The 5th place was awarded to Association of Dominican Communicators (ADC) for their amazing dance piece

It was also a back-to-back victory for the Education department as they surpassed the talent show for the institution’s faculty, That’s my Mentor. Prof. Romeo Gonzalvo Jr., a professor in Education got a standing ovation performance after he stunned the audience on his sing and dance rendition of “Mang Jose” winning the second place is the Burlesque performance of Prof. Jonna Tacsay, representing the LaboratoriumDuces. Completing the winners is Prof. Arvin Balquin from BSIT’s organization, Association of Computer Talents and Specialists.
