Nagasaki Students plant tree with SDCA

Though Philippines is internationally known by its ecosystem, they are being destroyed by our hands. It is becoming a victim of our own heedlessness… And so comes the birth of this drive.

To expose the 16 first-year Global Tourism delegates from Nagasaki University to SDCA’s core values, the Community Outreach and Extension Office (COEO) spearheaded a tree-planting activity for them at Brgy. LayongMabilog, Maragondon, Cavite.

The students planted one tree, adding to the 300 trees planted since 2014. Present at the event were CCSC President Rico J. Ramas, COE Officer Ronald Tomines, Department of Student Affairs and Services (DSAS) Director Jonathan Velustria Sta. Ana, DSAS Secretary Ms. Michelle V. de la Cruz and SIHTM students.

“Aside from planning to do this activity every month, I also eyed to plant many trees across Cavite,” Tomines said.

The letters “S-D-C-A” are the four core values of the institution, standing for Service, Dynamism, Competence, and Accountability. It was present all throughout the one-day event.
