SHSP Clinical Graduation Batch 2016-2017

The students under the Department of School of Health Science Professions (SHSP) had their clinical graduation on last May 19, in the Immaculate heart of Mary Church, Meadowood Executive village.

Facilitated by Mr. Jonathan Kupahu (faculty member and alumni of SDCA), the program was attended by Dr. Gregorio Andaman (President of SDCA), Dr. Marita Andaman-Rillo (Chairman of the Board of Trustees), Mr. Jonathan Velustria Sta. Ana (Student Affairs and Services Director), Ms. Dr. Nilda W. Balsicas, (Vice-President for Academics and Research), Ms. Mary Nellie T. Roa (Dean of School of Health, Sciences, and Profession), faculty members of SHSP, and parents of the graduates.
In his opening remarks, the enthusiastic President, Mr. Gregorio Andaman Jr., proudly acknowledged the achievements of the graduating students and the Department of SHSP. The presentation of the candidates was presented by Ms. Mary Nellie T. Roa (Dean of SHSP). While the imposition of pins and special awards were given by Dr. Gregorio Andaman, Dr. Marita Andaman-Rillo, and Dr. Nilda Balsicas.
Ms. Alyssa M. Cruz, Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science student, gave her speech of gratitude, as she was awarded as the Most Outstanding Student of the Year. In her speech, she shared her experiences as a student of BMLS, and emphasized her gratefulness to her family who supported and sacrificed for her.
Meanwhile, the guest speaker, Mr. Michael Thomas T. Montesa, shared his thoughts on working in the medical field and the expectations of the students once they graduate. He imparted words of wisdom and motivated them to reach their maximum potential in the field.  Afterwards the passing of rites, pledge of loyalty, and the singing of the batch song was made.
Tears of joy and smiles poured inside the chapel as the graduating students gave roses to their parents as a sign of gratitude, for all their sacrifices. Thus, it’s remarkable program for the students as they open a new chapter of their life.
