Our Radiologic Technology program focuses on the performance of diagnostic imaging examinations and administration of radiation therapy treatments. Our program will allow you to explore a rewarding career as a radiographer, sonographer, magnetic resonance technologist, bone densitometry technologist, nuclear medicine technologist, radiation therapist, computerized tomography technologist, or cardiovascular-interventional technologist.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES (PLO)

At the end of the program, the graduates are expected to:

  1. Apply scientific knowledge, technical skills, and the proper work attitude and values necessary for the practice of Radiologic Technology.

  2. Understand the scope of local and international professional practice.
     
  3. Implement radiation safety and protection measures. 

  4. Demonstrate patient-focused care

PROGRAM EDUCATION OBJECTIVES (PEO)

Three (3) to five (5) years after graduation, the graduates are expected to:

  1. Provide healthcare services by applying x-ray energy or with the use of radionuclides to assist in diagnosis or treatment of disease. 

  2. Perform radiographic or nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques to produce images for the interpretation by and the request of a licensed medical practitioner.

  3. Provide radiation therapy services as an essential member of the radiation oncology treatment team and total quality care to each patient undergoing a prescribed course of treatment.

  4. Participate in the department's quality control program and assist in maintaining records, thereby respecting confidentiality and established policy.

  5. Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. 

  6.  Maintain values congruent with the profession’s code of ethics and scope of practice and adhere to national, institutional, and/or departmental standards, policies, and procedures in patient care, performance of diagnostic procedures, and treatment delivery.

  7. Pursue continuing education in professional practice and management skills
