Events Published on: November 26, 2022

As part of the week-long celebration of SDCA’s 19th Founding Anniversary, the entire Dominican community came together to ignite the vision further by engaging in an early morning exercise that fostered unity, positivity, and community support.

The Zumbayanihan Contest 2022 showcased the physical agility and school spirit of Dominicans, proving that they are not just academically prepared but also physically active. Various departments, represented by 25 students each, danced their way to victory in the inter-school competition held at SDCA Grounds on November 26.

This event was organized by Ms. Amelia Bañega, the chair of the contest. With the theme “TikTok Mashups”, representatives from five schools, along with their assigned faculty mentors, were given approximately one week to prepare choreography to popular TikTok dance compilations.

Winners of the Zumbayanihan Contest 2022:

  • Champion: School of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (SNAHS) - Supervised by Prof. Alejo Lupac
  • 1st Runner-Up: School of Medical Laboratory Sciences (SMLS) - Supervised by Prof. Ma. Isabel Mojica
