TVL HRS COOKERY Hypes SHS Crowd on Online Cooking Show

"Do you have what it takes to be an Impastar?"

This was the challenge posed by host Sophia Tinimbang to the contestants of Impastar, an exciting online cooking match where Grade 12 contenders from the Alain Ducasse - Technical, Vocational and Livelihood / Human Resource System (TVL HRS) Strand showcased their culinary creativity and skills in a competitive cook-off.

Presented via Facebook Premiere on Tuesday, November 24, the participants were given 50 minutes to prepare their own unique pasta dishes, adding their personal twists to beloved classics.

Among the challengers, Kaela Hermo created her signature Filipino-style Pesto Pasta, while Mizel Dela Rosa crafted a nutritious Fresh Tomato Vegan Pasta, inspired by her mother's transition to a plant-based lifestyle. Dennialla Sacdalan, on the other hand, presented a comforting homemade version of the classic Carbonara.

During the competition, the contestants shared personal stories about their passion for cooking, discussing their inspirations and the journey that led them to pursue the culinary arts. Beyond the competition, they took the opportunity to encourage viewers to explore their own cooking potential.

The event, conducted in a 'ZoomBukluran' format, was designed to promote camaraderie among SHS students. The first-ever online cooking show not only highlighted the contestants' skills but also introduced simple yet delicious recipes that viewers could recreate at home.

Finally, the viewers played an integral role in selecting the winner by voting for their favorite dish. The title of the first and last Impastar was to be announced following the dissemination and deliberation of the voting forms.
