St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) held the Commencement Exercise for graduates of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) 2025 on April 13, 2026. The event also included the awarding of toolkits to program completers.
The graduates successfully completed training in various technical-vocational programs, including Caregiving NC II, Bread and Pastry Production NC II, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I and NC II, and Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II. These programs are designed to equip participants with practical skills aligned with industry standards.
During the ceremony, graduates received toolkits corresponding to their respective areas of training. The distribution of these toolkits aims to support the immediate application of their acquired competencies, particularly in pursuing employment or starting livelihood initiatives.
The STEP program is a community-based training initiative of TESDA that seeks to provide accessible skills development opportunities, especially for individuals who intend to improve their employability or establish small-scale enterprises.
The program reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen technical education and provide pathways for sustainable livelihood through skills-based training.
