Bacoor, Cavite – Students from the School of International Hospitality, Tourism and Management (SIHTM) of St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) are set to embark on a distinctive international learning journey aboard the high seas, combining academic enrichment with cultural exploration.
Scheduled from April 11 to 18, 2026, the International Cruise Study and Immersion Program will bring students to Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan in partnership with Genting Dream Star Cruises Singapore. This week-long mobility program offers participants a valuable opportunity to experience world-class hospitality operations firsthand aboard a luxury cruise liner, allowing them to observe the standards and practices of the global cruise and tourism industry.
Throughout the program, students will take part in immersive learning experiences focused on key areas of hospitality and tourism management, including guest relations, food and beverage service, and onboard operations. The itinerary also includes port visits in Taiwan and Japan, where delegates will explore cultural landmarks, gain insights into international tourism environments, and develop a deeper appreciation of cross-cultural service and global travel dynamics.
This initiative reflects SDCA’s commitment to internationalization and experiential learning. By providing students with real-world global exposure beyond the traditional classroom, the university continues to prepare future hospitality and tourism professionals to become adaptable, globally minded, and capable of taking on leadership roles in an increasingly competitive industry.
