Senior high Dominicans claimed the top three spots in the DominiCAN Sing Season 3 “Home for the Holidays” grand finals, which was held via Facebook Live on November 27.

Vincent Niño Rull of 12 STEM Nikola Tesla emerged as the champion, earning a total score of 91.7%. Claire Ishi Enriquez of 12 ABM Alfred Marshall secured the first runner-up spot with 90.1%, while Rhon Ermertson Burdeos of 11 ABM Anders Indset placed second runner-up with an average score of 88.5%.

“To be honest, I didn't expect that I would still be part of the DominiCAN Sing this year since I auditioned late. Instead, I had hope,” Rull shared, reflecting on his unexpected journey to victory.

He further mentioned that he was inspired by past winners from SDCA, saying, “It has been my dream to be part of the DominiCAN Sing since I first saw the audition posters when I was in Grade 9. When Claire Enriquez informed me that the competition would push through, I decided to join, knowing that this would be my last year in SDCA.”

Meanwhile, Burdeos offered words of encouragement to fellow aspiring singers: “Never be afraid to go beyond your comfort zone because sometimes, you will only see victory and fulfillment when you push past your limits. Always keep the flame of dreams in your heart and never get tired of trying.”

Enriquez also emphasized the importance of vocal health in preparation for the contest: “The most important thing is to drink warm water every morning to keep your vocal cords healthy.”

Interestingly, Enriquez had previously reached the grand finals in the previous season but was unable to compete due to health reasons. This time, she made a remarkable comeback, securing a well-deserved place in the top ranks.
