Held on December 10, 2025, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), the event marked another milestone in SDCA’s ongoing mission of Revolutionizing Education and proving once more that Dominicans Make It Happen.

SDCA earned the ICONS Award 2025 for its placement in international rankings following significant performance in two major global evaluations. The College secured an overall 1501+ rank in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, demonstrating its sustained commitment to sustainable development, global responsibility, and academic innovation. It also achieved an impressive 223rd position in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026, placing SDCA among the world’s most forward-thinking institutions. These recognitions affirm the College’s dedication to educational transformation, creative problem-solving, and globally responsive learning environments.

Adding to this achievement, SDCA was named Champion in the Best ASEAN Initiative Awareness Award category for the SDCA ASEAN Culture Expo: Philippine Pop Culture and ASEAN Exhibition. Led by Prof. Melbert V. Animas and Prof. Jonathan V. Sta. Ana together with the BSTM Eventologist class, the initiative was selected from among thousands of entries nationwide. The award-winning cultural expo showcased the fusion of Philippine identity with the broader ASEAN cultural landscape, strengthening cross-cultural understanding, regional pride, and student-led innovation, which are the hallmarks of SDCA’s transformative and inclusive approach to education.

Representing the institution at the CHED ICONS 2025 ceremony were Dr. Gregorio A. Andaman, President; Dr. Maria Fe M. Andaman; Dr. Marita Andaman-Rillo, Chairman of the Board; Prof. Melbert V. Animas, Institutional Linkages and Networking Director; and Dr. Richardson dR Mojica, Institutional Linkages and Networking Officer. Their presence highlighted SDCA’s unified commitment to global engagement, academic excellence, and empowering future-ready Dominicans.

These achievements reaffirm SDCA’s unwavering dedication to global competitiveness, innovation, and inclusive internationalization, the values that strengthen its vision of leading educational transformation in the Philippines and across the ASEAN region. As SDCA continues to raise the bar in global recognition and revolutionary academic initiatives, it proudly celebrates these victories with the entire community, proving once again that Dominicans Make It Happen.
