St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) recorded an improved overall standing in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026, placing within the 1,001-1,500 range among participating higher education institutions worldwide.
The THE Impact Rankings assess universities based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The rankings consider how institutions address global challenges through areas including teaching, research, stewardship, and community engagement.
SDCA recorded improved placements across seven SDGs in the 2026 edition:
-
SDG 3 Good Health and Well-being
-
SDG 4 Quality Education
-
SDG 5 Gender Equality
-
SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities
-
SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities
-
SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production
-
SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals
The improvement in SDCAs overall ranking reflects the institutions continued participation in initiatives and practices aligned with the SDGs, particularly in areas related to health, education, equality, community development, responsible practices, and institutional partnerships.
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are distinct from conventional university rankings, as they focus specifically on an institutions contribution to sustainable development and its efforts to address social, economic, and environmental challenges.
