SDCA Students Recognized at PHISMETS South Luzon 2026

The St. Dominic College of Asia community recognized the achievements of its students who participated in the PHISMETS South Luzon 2026, a regional convention that gathered Medical Technology and Medical Laboratory Science students from various institutions. The event aimed to promote academic excellence, leadership, camaraderie, and holistic student development beyond the classroom.

Among the highlights of the competition, Dominican Motion Duces was named Indakatusoks 2026 Grand Winner, showcasing strong teamwork and performance in the stage competition category. The group is composed of Apple Funtanar, Princess Xyza Kate Angngasing, Zebie Ann Mediana, Emilio Manuel De Guzman, Mark Julian Samonte, Timothy Tepora, Angelica Jacobo, Ajaey Jimenez, Jabbar Villanueva, Arabella Baula, Rein Stephen Guevarra, and Sophia Caparas.

In the pageant segment, Kate Arthel G. Belino was recognized as Ms. PHISMETS 2026 1st Runner Up, also receiving special awards for Best in Production Number, Best in Casual Wear, and Most Photogenic.

Meanwhile, Daniel Tenchi Galagnara finished as a Top 5 Finalist and also earned special recognitions for Best in Production Number, Best in Casual Wear, and Most Photogenic.

The institution also acknowledged the election of SDCA representatives to the PHISMETS South Luzon student organization: John Lawrence Alonzo as Secretary, Leigh Arabelle Delfin as Treasurer, and Francine Danielle Prudente as Public Relations Officer 2.

The participation and accomplishments of the students were cited as contributions to the visibility and representation of SDCA in regional academic and student-led events.
