St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) successfully concluded its 3rd Global Classroom Series initiated by the Institutional Linkages and Networking Office beginning this Second Semester, Academic Year 2025-2026. An on-site session was held on March 10–13, 2026, as part of the institution’s 6th Research, Extension, and Linkages Week, further affirming its commitment to internationalization, academic collaboration, and transformative global learning.

The four-day global academic engagement brought together distinguished international lecturers from Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia, providing SDCA students and faculty members with valuable opportunities to learn from experts across diverse disciplines. Through a series of lectures and interactive academic discussions, the Global Classroom served as a meaningful platform for cross-cultural exchange, interdisciplinary learning, and the sharing of global perspectives.

This year’s Global Classroom Series featured esteemed International Visiting Lecturers and Adjunct Faculty, namely, Prof. Patrick Low, Vice-President of Alliance Institute Ltd, Singapore; Dr. Ananya Manmathbhai Mehta, Associate Program Head and Senior Lecturer in Professional Communication of RMIT University, Vietnam; Prof. Afifah Khairunnisa, Medical Laboratory Science Lecturer at Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang, Indonesia; and Dr. Satria Pranata, Secretary, Research Institute for Community Service of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang, Indonesia.

Each lecturer shared insights grounded in their respective fields of expertise, enriching the academic experience of participants and encouraging a broader appreciation of international practices in education, research, innovation, communication, and the health sciences. Their sessions fostered critical thinking, meaningful dialogue, and a deeper understanding of how global knowledge can be applied in local and regional contexts.

The Global Classroom Series will run until the end of the semester, covering topics on artificial intelligence, communication and digital marketing, allied health practices, and research.

As one of the featured activities of the 6th Research, Extension, and Linkages Week, the 3rd Global Classroom reflected SDCA’s sustained efforts to strengthen institutional partnerships and create globally relevant learning experiences for the Dominican academic community. The initiative also underscored the College’s vision of nurturing globally competent, socially responsive, and future-ready learners through innovative and collaborative educational programs.

Now on its third successful run, the SDCA Global Classroom continues to grow as a flagship initiative that advances the institution’s internationalization agenda while reinforcing its commitment to excellence in research, extension, and academic linkages.

Through programs such as the Global Classroom, SDCA continues to connect local learning with global opportunities, thus empowering Dominican students and educators to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
