Students from the School of International Hospitality, Tourism, and Management (SIHTM) of St. Dominic College of Asia successfully completed a six month international mobility program in Taiwan, gaining practical experience in the hospitality and tourism industry.

As part of the program, the students were deployed to established hospitality institutions where they were exposed to day to day operations and professional practices. Their placements included Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi, JustSleep Jiaoxi, JustSleep NTU Taipei, JustSleep Ximending Taipei, and Wellspring by Silks Beitou.

Throughout the internship, the students applied their academic knowledge in real work environments while developing essential professional competencies. These included customer service, communication skills, adaptability, and an understanding of international standards in hospitality and tourism operations.

The program also provided opportunities for cultural immersion, allowing students to experience working in a different country while interacting with diverse guests and colleagues. This exposure contributed to their personal and professional growth, particularly in navigating global workplace settings.

The completion of the international mobility program reflects SIHTM’s continued efforts to provide students with experiential learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. These initiatives aim to prepare graduates to become competitive professionals equipped with the skills and perspective needed in the global hospitality and tourism industry.
