Bacoor, Cavite – Students from the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy program of St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) are set to participate in the International Student Engagement and Exploration Program (ISEEP) from April 19 to 24, 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The program offers a meaningful opportunity for students to engage in both academic and cultural learning beyond the traditional classroom setting.

In collaboration with Taylor’s University Malaysia, the Student Research and Cultural Immersion Program will allow the SDCA delegation to take part in joint research activities alongside Malaysian students and faculty. Through this partnership, participants will explore current developments and innovations in pharmaceutical sciences while gaining valuable exposure to international academic practices and collaborative research.

Beyond the research environment, the immersion also emphasizes cultural exchange and global awareness. Through guided tours, institutional visits, and intercultural interactions, students will have the chance to experience Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage and diverse social landscape. These activities are expected to strengthen adaptability, intercultural communication, and a broader understanding of the global context of healthcare and pharmacy practice.

The program also aims to strengthen academic partnerships, enhance research competencies, and cultivate global perspectives among future pharmacists. By combining scholarly engagement with cross-cultural experience, SDCA continues to provide opportunities that prepare students to become more confident, globally aware, and professionally equipped in an increasingly interconnected world.

This initiative reflects SDCA’s commitment to internationalization and transformative learning. By bridging classroom knowledge with real-world collaboration and international exposure, the university continues to shape future health professionals who are equipped not only with technical expertise, but also with the cultural sensitivity and research skills needed to thrive in the evolving field of pharmacy
