On November 10, 2022, St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) actively participated in the 4th Quarter National Earthquake Drill. The exercise included students from Basic Education, as well as staff, administrators, and a few Higher Education students who were on campus at the time of the drill.

SDCA coordinated with the Bacoor Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (BDRRMO), Wilderness Search and Rescue (WISAR) Cavite Chapter, and Barangay Talaba 4 to execute the routine safety procedures. The drill took place at the SDCA grounds, where students were properly guided to safe zones while teachers and staff diligently followed emergency protocols.

After the drill, an evaluation meeting was held at Luigi’s Island, GD1 second floor. Attending the discussion were evaluators from WISAR, BDRRMO, Barangay Talaba 4, and SDCA’s drill managers. One of the BDRRMO evaluators praised the faculty’s response, stating:

“The panicked kids were pacified effectively by the teachers. Good job on that.”

“Overall, this was a great drill. There are no 100% foolproof drills, but this one deserves praise.”

The 4th Quarter National Simultaneous Emergency Evacuation Drill was deemed a success. Students cooperated well, and the school staff demonstrated efficiency in guiding them to safety, further strengthening SDCA’s commitment to disaster preparedness.
