SDCA Conducts Green IT and Social Media Awareness Seminar

St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) organized a literacy project entitled “Green IT” and “Social Media Awareness”, which aimed to educate parents from Talaba II, last March 18.

The members of the Association of Computer Talents and Specialists (ACTS), the academic organization for the Information Technology students of SDCA, facilitated the “Green IT” session. This part of the seminar tackled the proper ways to recycle different computer parts and peripherals into useful household items. The event was attended by the parents of the Bacoor Alliance of Pinagbuklod – Kindergarten School students.

During the second part of the seminar, Mr. Joezer Haggai P. Macauyam, the Digital Learning Content Management Specialist of SDCA, along with Mr. Rueben G. Marollano, the Online Distance Learning Staff / Web Management and Digital Citizenship Specialist of SDCA, discussed the importance of maintaining a responsible social media presence.

Towards the end of the program, Prof. Ronald Tomines, the Community Extension Services Officer of SDCA, delivered the closing remarks to formally conclude the activity.
