St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) continues to strengthen its commitment to producing globally competitive learners as students take the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) on March 9 and March 14 at the SDCA Digital Campus.
The first batch of examinees consists of graduating students, who are taking the exam as part of the institution’s initiative to ensure that learners meet international standards of English proficiency before entering the workforce.
Meanwhile, first-year students, returnees, transfer students, and Grade 12 students will take the examination on a later date as part of the college’s continuing English proficiency assessment program.
The TOEIC testing at SDCA is conducted in partnership with Princeton Assessments and Training, Inc., the official test provider and partner in administering the internationally recognized English proficiency examination.
Since 2022, SDCA has consistently administered the TOEIC to evaluate and strengthen students’ communication skills in international and professional contexts.
The initiative supports the institution’s broader goal of preparing learners for global opportunities across various industries.
Over the past years, SDCA students have consistently maintained B1–B2 levels under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), reflecting intermediate to upper-intermediate English proficiency that enables them to communicate effectively in academic and workplace environments.
Through standardized assessments such as the TOEIC and through its partnership with Princeton, SDCA continues to reinforce its commitment to quality education, employability, and global readiness, ensuring that Dominican learners are equipped with the language competencies required in today’s increasingly interconnected world.
