Present during the MOU renewal signing were Dr. Gregorio A. Andaman, Jr., President of St. Dominic College of Asia, and Dr. Muhammad Yusuf, Vice-Rector IV for Cooperation and Planning Development of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS), Indonesia. The renewal marks another important milestone in the long-standing relationship between the two institutions, further reinforcing their shared vision of expanding opportunities for academic excellence, international engagement, and institutional growth.

The renewed agreement seeks to further strengthen academic cooperation between SDCA and UNIMUS through a range of mutually beneficial programs and initiatives. Under the MOU, both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining collaborative activities such as lecture exchange and Global Classroom initiatives, visiting lecturer and adjunct faculty engagements, collaborative research and projects, joint supervision of research across various academic levels, curriculum and program development, seminars and academic training, cultural and academic exchanges for students and staff, and the preparation and sharing of academic publications and resources. The agreement also opens opportunities for exploring other areas of cooperation that may be mutually identified and pursued by both institutions in the future.

Valid for five years from the date of final signing, the renewed MOU reflects the shared aspiration of SDCA and UNIMUS to deepen institutional collaboration in ways that respond to the evolving demands of higher education and the global academic landscape. The agreement also provides for the creation of a joint working group composed of representatives from both institutions to facilitate implementation, monitor progress, and submit performance reports in line with the partnership’s planned programs and activities.

The renewal of the SDCA–UNIMUS partnership underscores the College’s strong commitment to building meaningful international alliances that enrich teaching and learning, strengthen research and extension, and create transformative opportunities for students, faculty, and academic leaders. As SDCA continues to expand its global footprint, the renewed MOU with UNIMUS stands as a testament to the institution’s dedication to fostering globally connected, innovative, and future-ready Dominican learners through enduring and purposeful international collaboration.
