SDCA Academic Leaders Tapped for CHED CALABARZON Quality Assurance Team, Cementing the Institution's Standard of Excellence
In a strong testament to its commitment to academic excellence, twenty-five academic heads from St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) have officially joined the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) CALABARZON Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT).
The delegates attended a comprehensive re-orientation and orientation seminar on September 7, 2026, held at the CHED Region IV-A Office in Lipa City, Batangas. The pivotal assembly was spearheaded by CHED CALABARZON Regional Director Dr. Rogelio T. Galera, Jr., CESO III, who welcomed the region's top educators and outlined the commissions updated regulatory frameworks.
The inclusion of such a large contingent of SDCA's academic leaderscomprising deans, program chairs, and academic leadersserves as a resounding validation of the high quality of education the institution provides. To be selected for the RQAT, educators must possess exceptional credentials, extensive administrative experience, and a proven track record of academic mastery in their respective fields.
As newly minted and returning members of the RQAT, the SDCA academic heads will take on crucial responsibilities in shaping the educational landscape of Southern Tagalog. Among their primary mandates is the evaluation of peer institutions. This involves conducting ocular inspections and rigorous assessments of other colleges and universities across Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon.
By serving as assessors and evaluators for other higher education institutions (HEIs), SDCAs leaders are actively extending their institution's culture of quality assurance outward. This milestone not only highlights SDCAs internal academic rigor but also positions the college as a key partner of the government in elevating the overall standard of higher education throughout the CALABARZON region.
