The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) Week 2026 at St. Dominic College of Asia concluded with a Career Talk and Awarding Ceremony, bringing together students, faculty members, industry professionals, and alumni.

Ms. Kris Lao Sanchez, Chief Executive Officer of KSF, delivered a session titled "Career-ready IT Graduates: Integrating Soft Skills and OJT Experience", which emphasized the role of interpersonal skills and on-the-job training in preparing students for employment.
Mr. Orlando Seachon Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Certtech Central, presented "Future-Proof Your Career: The Power of IT Certifications", highlighting the importance of professional certifications in maintaining competitiveness in the evolving IT landscape.
Dr. Pastor Arguelles Jr., Director of the Research and Publication Office at the University of Batangas, discussed "From Automation to Insight: How AI is Reshaping IT Research Paradigms", focusing on the growing influence of artificial intelligence in research and data-driven decision-making.
The event also included an address from alumnus Mr. Mark Ian Mape, who shared insights on career development and industry experiences, providing students with perspectives on transitioning from academic life to professional practice.
In addition to the seminar sessions, the awarding ceremony recognized students who participated in various activities conducted throughout the week. Awards were given to winners of the ESports Tournament, IT Quiz Bee, and Sports Competitions, highlighting student engagement in both technical and extracurricular areas.
