St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) proudly participates in the 2025 World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI) Global Conference, held at Tongmyong University, Busan, South Korea, further cementing its reputation as one of the most innovative institutions in higher education. This prestigious international platform recognizes universities that create meaningful change through creativity, resilience, and social contribution.
For the second consecutive year, SDCA has been included in the WURI Global Top Innovative Universities list, a recognition of its strong commitment to transformative education and sustainable initiatives.
This year, SDCA earned Top 1 in Category A8: SDG-Based Responses to Global Challenges for its community-driven projects: Kitchen Garden, Water is Life, and Tilapayong. Dr. Gregorio A. Andaman Jr., President of SDCA, will officially receive the international award on behalf of the institution.
Meanwhile, the award-winning projects will be formally presented at the conference by Dr. Joel G. Matamis, Dean of SMLS, and Dr. Wendell G. Galapate, Director for Research and Linkages, highlighting how these initiatives directly contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and exemplify the vital role of education in addressing pressing global challenges.
