SDCA Recognized at Gawad Batang Bacooreño 2025

The Dominican community proudly celebrates its recognition at the Gawad Batang Bacooren?o 2025, conferred by the City Government of Bacoor. This annual recognition highlights outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations that advance education, leadership, and community development in Bacoor.


The awards given to St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA) showcase the dedication and leadership of its faculty members, student leaders, and organizations who continue to embody excellence and service. The following recognitions were awarded:


  • Global Educators Guild for the Sulong Dunong Project, spearheaded by Prof. Karen Mosende, Prof. Jeric Atillano, and Dr. Teresita Pedrajas, together with the Education Department.
  • Dominican Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (DJPIA) for the Financial Literacy Program, led by Prof. Emelita Bunyi and the Accountancy Department.
  • Psychology Society for the City-Wide Mental Health Caravan, spearheaded by Dr. Philip Cordova Cuizon and the Psychology Department.
  • Dr. Philip Cordova Cuizon as Bacoor Mental Health Champion for advancing mental health resiliency programs.
Central College Student Council (CCSC) received a Certificate of Recognition as a member of the Bacoor City Local Youth Development Council, under the leadership of CCSC President Christian Velasquez, CCSC Adviser Ms. Yancy Verzosa, and Student Development Officer Mr. Cedrick Dan Mabunga. 


SDCA extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Philip Cordova Cuizon, who was individually honored as Bacoor Mental Health Champion for his commitment to promoting and advancing mental health programs in the city. 


These recognitions are a reflection of SDCA’s unwavering commitment to community service, and leadership. Through the collaborative efforts of its students, faculty, and organizations, SDCA continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of fellow Bacooren?os and beyond.
