St. Dominic College of Asia puts premium value to the privacy and security of personal data entrusted by its stakeholders for legitimate purposes. We aim to comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA) and cooperate fully with the National Privacy Commission (NPC). We regard your privacy with utmost importance. SDCA is committed to meeting both your personal privacy, which is important to us, and ensuring that our genuine and legitimate interests as an educational institution and our ability to fully and effectively carry out our responsibilities as such are met.

As faculty of St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA), I acknowledge my professional and legal responsibility to protect the privacy and security of my students’ personal data stored in this Learning Management System (LMS). I hereby express my commitment to fully cooperate with the institution, specifically with the Data Protection Office, and other authorized agencies to meeting the personal privacy of our stakeholders and ensuring that our genuine and legitimate interests as an educational institution and our ability to fully and effectively carry out our responsibilities as such are met.

Moreover, I hereby express my commitment to uphold the following:

I will implement reasonable and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical security measures for the protection of personal data entrusted under my care;

I will only permit the data to be accessed or processed by myself or other authorized personnel who hold such information under strict confidentiality.

I will restrict access to information to just anyone who like to know/obtain such information without justifiable ground such as but not limited to my co-faculty, co-employees, students, and non-custodial relatives.

I will perpetually protect the data of my students even if I am no longer connected with SDCA.

I will, upon my knowledge, immediately inform the Data Protection Office (DPO) of any incident of data security breach and will take all necessary and reasonable steps to mitigate its negative effect and address such incident or breach.

I will respect my students’ right to privacy and confidentiality as provided by law.

I will fully coordinate and comply with the privacy and security policies and guidelines to ensure confidentiality and security of personal data.
